Thank you for purchasing an above ground pool from East Coast Leisure. Please review the 3 different warranty plans available below. If you have not already purchased the Premium Protection Plan and wish to do so, you must purchase it through this page 24 hours prior to your pool installation.

WARRANTY GUIDELINES


The Basics


All pool warranties are based on pool seasons. A pool season is between March 1 and October 31 of that year.  This is traditionally the period of time that the pool is operational.  November 1 is the start of the second season. The various components of the pool can be broken into these categories.
Structure
Includes the pool wall, uprights, top frame, and foundation (top caps not included)
Equipment
Includes the pump, filer, entry system, hoses, skimmer/return, and vacuum/cleaning mechanisms
WaterCare
Included chemicals and components that maintain water quality
Liner
Vinyl lining that holds the water inside the structure of the pool
Installation
Based on agreement between the customer and the installer





WARRANTY FOR THE STRUCTURE


Season One-structural warranty covers the components from defects and blemishes for the first season that the pool is installed at 100%. Replacement of defective product, this includes product and freight from the manufacturer to East Coast Leisure’s warehouse. Not included: labor, delivery, installation, replacement of water, chemicals, landscaping, or any costs involved in the replacement of the warranty component.

Season Two-warranties from season two and on are based on the pool. The warranty will continue to be the same as year one until the year set by the program listed on the warranty of the pool model.
Program #1 (EVS7)
2 years full warranty against manufacturer defects. After 2 years, 30% discount for the life of the pool. 
Program #2 (EVC900)
3 years full warranty against manufacturer defects. After 3 years, 35% discount for the life of the pool.
Program #3 (EVO1200)
4 years full warranty against manufacturer defects on all polymer components 3 on metal components. After 4 years, 40% discount for the life of the pool.
Program #4 (Downtown 54”)
5-year full warranty against manufacturer defects on all components of the pool. Year 5 thru 30 50% discount on all components of the pool.
Program #5 (SIGO)
5 years full warranty against manufacturer defects on all polymer components 3 on metal components. After 5 years, 50% discount for the life of the pool.

WARRANTY FOR THE EQUIPMENT


All components carry an individual manufacturer’s warranty that may vary in detail.

Season One-all components deemed defective by manufacturers discretion will be replaced at 100% of the value of that component. Plastic and polymer components warranties include defects from molds, blemishes, and seam separations. Not covered under manufacturer’s warranty:  damage or cracks in components caused by nature, temperature, force, neglect, over tightening, improper water chemistry, and any other cause not deemed to be a manufacturer’s defect. Mechanical components that require electric or propulsion to operate are warrantied against manufacturer’s defects that cause the component not to function. Not covered under warranty: wear and tear, improper connection of electric or plumbing, improper chemical use, failure to meet any specifications set by the manufacturer, acts of nature, and any other cause not deemed a defect by the manufacturer.

*Note: O-rings, gaskets, rubber plugs, filter elements, and other devices that will wear through natural use, are not warrantied for wear and tear. *


WATER CARE PRODUCTS


Chemicals are not covered under any warranty. Inspect all chemicals and water care products at the time of purchase. If your water care system includes a mechanism for dispersing the chemical and the mechanism fails, that falls under equipment warranty. Devices meant to dissolve with use such as cells and chambers must be replaced in accordance to manufacturer’s suggestions to maintain proper water chemistry. Failure to maintain proper water chemistry will void all manufacturer’s warranties. East Coast Leisure recommends testing water at one of our locations at least once a month in season to help ensure proper water chemistry.



WARRANTY FOR LINERS


The pool liner has a manufacturer’s warranty against seam separations. A seam is defined as the area where two sheets of vinyl are heat sealed to create a bond. The seam separation is an area where that seam was not properly heat sealed. This defect is very difficult to identify because it cannot be seen easily until water is in the pool. Nearly all seam separations occur out of the box; therefore, it is important to monitor the pool as it is being filled with water. Water replacement, labor, and chemicals are not covered under the manufacturer’s liner warranty. If the seam separation is identified the manufacturer will require that the consumer either provides a picture or cut out of the actual defect to verify that it is a true seam separation. If the liner is punctured or damaged in any way other than a seam separation, it will not be covered under warranty. However, liners can be repaired without removing water.  This is extremely common and if done properly, will have no effect on the life of the liner.  The following are not included under the liners manufacturer’s warranty: water replacement, labor for removal or installation of the new liners, chemicals, or any other cost involving the replacement of the liner. If the seam separation is identified in the first season, upon manufacturer’s approval, East Coast Leisure will provide the customer with a new liner of equal value to be picked up at our corporate headquarters.



POOL INSTALLATION


Individual installers offer a variety of installation guarantees. East Coast Leisure recommends requesting on paper a list of what each installer will provide to the customer. Should an installation issue occur, manufacturers do not reimburse for labor on defects or damage from the installer, therefore an extended warranty is recommended.

Factory Protection Plan
Included in all pool purchases.
 Protects the consumers against defects through the manufacturer’s warranty and provides 100% repair or replacement of products deemed defective through the manufacturer for a minimum of the first season. The consumer must follow all guidelines provided by the manufacturer.
Simple Clean Protection Plan
Upgrade
The consumer will receive a two season 100% replacement warranty on all component’s deemed warrantable by the manufacturers’ specifications. Items will be repaired or replaced, at East Coast Leisure discretion, with a product of equal value for two full seasons. In addition, the consumer will be asked to have their water tested at least once a month in season at one of the East Coast Leisure locations. If the consumer maintains proper water chemistry and follows all winterizing guidelines, they will receive an additional VIP discount card to be used for savings on water care products. If a pool is purchased with the simple clean system, the customer will receive the Simple Clean Protection Plan at no charge.

The consumer will receive everything that is offered in the Simple Clean Protection Plan plus a 90-day labor warranty if anything is deemed defective within 90 days of installation. East Coast Leisure will replace the product within a reasonable time. And include the cost of labor and/or delivery/shipping of the defective product.

Ex: If a liner is deemed defective through the manufactures warranty, East Coast Leisure will replace the liner with a new liner and have installer remove the old liner and install the new liner.
